Duquesne (/duːˈkeɪn/) is a city along the Monongahela River in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States, and is part of the Pittsburgh Metropolitan Area. The population was 5,565 at the 2010 census.

Geography

Duquesne is located at 40°22′12″N 79°51′3″W (40.369969, -79.850957). Duquesne is nestled along the Monongahela River approximately 12 miles (19 km) south of Pittsburgh.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.0 square miles (5.2 km2), of which 1.8 square miles (4.7 km2) is land and 0.2 square miles (0.52 km2), or 10.84%, is water.
